School can be as difficult for gifted children as for all others.
Talented and academically able pupils are often neglected. Many teachers fail to cope with their curiosity, extravagant vocabulary, abstract reasoning and eccentric ways! Or just think they are already too advanced anyway...
But gifted children need help to organize their schedules, structure their learning, develop their skills in science, arts or literature, avoid bullying at school, and feel safe in their environment.
Asynchronous development is rather frequent: struggling with handwriting, arithmetics and routine tasks, but easily reading novels, poetry and science magazines.
Enthusiastic and friendly female scientist, PhD in Climate Science, and scriptwriter of science TV shows, gives assistance to gifted children, in the convenience of their own homes.
Tutoring in Maths, Physics, Geography, French and Classical Mythology.
Preparation for Cambridge International Examinations IGCSE or similar.
Fees: £24 per hour.
All teaching material and Edinburgh travel expenses included.
Disclosure Scotland certificate to work with vulnerable children.
Non-smoking children only.
